Commissioing Service

We just got back to the hotel from our Commissioning Service in Atlanta. First, all 83 people that are going onto the Mission Field in the upcoming year had dinner together. Mommy and Daddy have been hanging out with these people all week long.
All but 2 couples will be with us during our 8 weeks in Virgina.Anyway, the service lasted around 2 hours. A HUGE choir sang along with a song from a small group out of the
choir. Then, the congregation sang some songs together. After all this, the 83 missionaries entered. Scence kids were not in this service, Mom and Dad stood up there without us kids. Each couple then got to speak a little but were limited to 72 words a couple. My parents just said where we were going and how our family related to theirs (people). Then, everyone headed across
the street for some refreshments. I meet a girl my age, along with one a couple years older that will be in Panama with me. Their parents are being a "boss" to my parents. They are very nice and I can't wait until I can really get to know them. Many people came to our service, specifically for us. My Grandmother, Yaya and Uncle (Bro) Dan, Mr. Chris, Mr.Ken and Mrs.Leigh, some friends off of Noah's baseball team, and then right before the service started, My cousins and Uncle and Aunt (really just Godparents) showed up. Mrs. Leigh had planed it and it was a huge surprise considering they live in Texas and weren't expected to come. We are staying at my favorite hotel that has glass elevators and everything! Haha...... Some friends here (adults) that will be with us in Virgina are Peter (going to Africa) and Some other M person (forgot her name) that will be going to speak to the Muslim Women. (I'll put her name later) Today has been a great day. I can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store.

P.S. Only 3 more weeks until we leave T-Ville!
